The golfers traveled to Oxford yesterday to compete in the Knipping Golf Invite. The team tied for 2nd so we went to a playoff against Bertrand. Unfortunately we came up short so we took 3rd as a team. Haiden placed 8th with an. 88.
Today we say goodbye to our 2nd grade student teacher Miss. Johnson. We will miss you and wish you the best of luck teaching 4th grade at Southern Valley! You will always be a warrior in our hearts!

The Spanish Students will be having their Spanish Play, 'Madagascar', on Monday starting at 9am in the N Gym!
The second graders were rewarded by our kitchen staff today for their outstanding behavior all year in the lunch line! They were consistently quiet and respectful while waiting to get their trays each day. They got to enjoy cookies in class and even take a few home! Thank you to our kitchen staff for all you do for our kiddos!

Congratulations to the JH Girls Team on their first-place finish Tuesday at the Cambridge Meet. Grace Andrews also broke the JH Girls School Record in the mile running a 5:43 breaking the record previously held by Stephanie Paulsen since 2010!

The Battle of the Books was intense, and slightly hilarious! Congrats to the winning 5th&6th grade team of Elsie, Kinley and Lilly! 🥳 And congrats to the winning 3rd &4th grade team of Easton, Cody and Jamisen! 🥳

Senior 'Sneak' Field Trip
Last Wednesday, the Seniors and their sponsors went on their Senior 'Sneak' trip. We started by eating breakfast at Tornado Alley before heading to Holdrege where we visited the Nebraska Prairie Museum before heading to Grand Island to the Trampoline Park. Of course, we had to eat an early dinner at Texas Roadhouse too before heading home!
Graduation is in 10 days and the Seniors have less than 1 week left of High School!
Excited to announce a great opportunity for our kids to take their skillset to the next level by bringing in one of the best basketball skill trainers in the Midwest, Shane Hennen! He's been a skills trainer for 7 years. You can check out his social media @hennen_workouts. This is for ALL girls and boys in grades 5th-8th of the 2023-24 school year. This will be a 2 day camp on June 16th & 17th. Forms have been sent home with the students. Any questions, please contact Coach Blackmore.
