Cheer Camp 2023
Deadline has been extended to Friday, May 26th!
Please stop by the office and pick up your student athlete's physical /NSAA forms for (JH/HS); incoming 7th (ALL 7th graders are required by the state to have a physical before entering junior high).
*Reminder that if you are not an athlete, but are in speech, band, vocal, cheer, etc., you MUST have the NSAA form turned in by the start of school.

Reminder tomorrow we get our Jr Lady Warrior Basketball camp started!! Grades K-2nd will go from 9:00-10:00am and 3rd-5th will go from 10:15am-11:45am. Walk in registrations will be accepted, but can not guarantee a t-shirt! Excited to see everybody back in the gym!
JH students who earned rewards enjoyed bowling at Tornado Alley on the last day of school. Trey had high game, Carli had most spares and Desi most strikes.

Thanks to the small bunch that came to our end of the year get together for our Arapahoe TeamMates Chapter. We had a very good year and established some new activities. The cast has auditioned and been chosen for One Stoplight Town, a story about people from a town so small that you might drive through without taking a second look. ... filled with fun characters, lots of humor, plenty of heart and the theme that change comes for us all, whether we are ready or not.
At Elementary Awards Day, Mrs. Helms recognized our Elementary Quiz Bowl team, Invention Convention participants, and those who competed at the Furnas County Spelling Bee.

The Arapahoe 5th graders had a great showing at the elementary field day on Tuesday. Several new records were set!
The staff at Arapahoe-Holbrook Public School wants to wish Mrs. Foley all the best in her retirement. May you fill your days with travels and adventures! You will be greatly missed!

Arapahoe had a great showing at the JH State Track Meet in Gothenburg on Saturday. The Girls 4x4 of Grace Andrews, Ruby McCune, Sawyer Shafer, and Desi Farner placed 6 out of 16 qualifying teams from all classes across Nebraska. They ran a 4:21.67 which bested the old record of 4:24 by nearly 3 seconds. The old record of 4:24 had been held by Carley Polston, Kaylea Watson, Stephanie Paulsen, and Rochelle Wendland since 2010.
Grace Andrews also placed 10th and 13th in the 1600m (5:35) and 800m (2:33) respectively. She shattered her previous 1600m record set a few weeks ago by 8 seconds!
Maybe we will see some of these girls at Burke next year in Omaha!
Another great day for Elementary Field Day!! Thank you to all the teachers for helping get kids to where they needed to be. Thank you to all the parents for coming out and cheering these kids on. So cool to watch all of them compete today. Thank you to all the HS kids that came back to help today and the JH kids that filled in where I needed them. Today doesn't work without ALL of you and your help. Thank you!! The track was fast today as there were numerous records broke today.
